Theme: "Opunohu Marae site"

Together with Biocode Staff and Te pu Atiti'a, the CM2 students from Paopao's primary school met at the Marae in Opunohu Valley. Hinano, the president of Te pu Atiti'a, introduced the possible uses for plants found around the site (tumu Mape, tumu ti'airi etc...). Next, the students has been in small groups and with their teachers, Brad, Rava (local Botanist), Biocode staff and CPIA students from ATITI'A, each group went to collect plants. The children was interested to do that!!!

When collecting is finished, The pupils assembled in the parking of the MARAE's place to take pictures for each specie and put them into the "presse" ( will be the "Vouchers"):then a piece of each specie will be use by BIOCODE staff for DNA extraction.
