Aimee graduated from the University of California Berkeley with a B.A. in Integrative Biology. Undergraduate research included work with Hawaiin Drosophila in Dr. Patrick O'Grady's population genetics lab as well as spending a semester at the Gump Station during UCB's "Biology and Geomorphology of Tropical Islands" class, where she studied foraminifera.
